Lots to do this week

Plenty happening in KilcullenThere will be another buzz around Kilcullen's downtown this week, with the opening of Billy Redmond's Bazaar today, writes Brian Byrne.

Running all week in the Heritage Centre, this annual event from Billy raises money for the irish Wheelchair Association, and also this year for the Jack & Jill Foundation.

Other events for those wishing a break from the sunshine include the Childrens Arts Workshop in the Community Centre all this week, a Feltmaking Class in The Cottonwood Tree on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Summer Dramantics childrens drama classes in Scoil Bhride.

Those with a literary interest might like to go along to Brownstown writer Martin Malone's latest book launch, in Kildare on Thursday evening, and a talk on Dun Ailinne next Saturday, at noon in the National Museum, Kildare St in Dublin, should be very interesting for those of us fascinated with our local far past.

There's probably more too. We'll keep you posted.
