Chrissie again in P&P World Strokeplay Championships

Chrissie to defend titleKilcullen's Pitch & Putt champion Chrissie Byrne is off to Tambre in northern Spain next week to compete in the World Strokeplay Championships, with the help of Tom Dignam of The Spout, writes Brian Byrne.

Tom is Chrissie's sponsor for the event, which has 21 competitors from Ireland, and 108 qualifiers from 14 countries. It runs from 4-7 July.

Ireland has the second biggest cohort in the competition, after Catalonia itself.

Chrissie is the reigning Womens Champion in the competition, having won it in 2009 in Montpelier, France. She is also a many times winner of the Irish National Strokeplay Championships.
