Tea Day for Alzheimer Society

Fundraiser in Parish CentreA fundraising Alzheimer's Tea Day event will be held in Kilcullen Parish Centre, tomorrow, Thursday 9 May, from 10am to 1pm.

Tea, sandwiches and cakes will be available, along with friendly chat and companionship.

It will help make it a day to remember for a cause that is becoming increasingly relevant to many families.

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland was founded in 1982 by a small group of people who were caring for a family member. It provides a range of services for people suffering from the many forms of dementia, and for their families. Some 42,000 families now depend on the Society for help.

The fundraising efforts on behalf of the Society aim to raise about €5m a year.
