Daffodil Day collected €3,500

Daffodil Day 2013 was different, writes Nuala Collins on behalf of the Irish Cancer Society. We had no control over the weather. But the wind and rain didn't prevent the faithful collectors and subscribers from donating €3,500.  

Ann Lambe-Brennan and her team collected €1,200 at the North end of Kilcullen. Down town we got €2,300. The conditions were so bad on Main St, the collection boxes filled with water and the wind blew our produce away. Some collectors persevered but in the end we had to give up.
