Ollie's appeal approaches €40,000
The funds contributed to the Ollie's Little Heart Appeal for a Cardiac Unit in Crumlin Children's Hospital have now reached €39,000, writes Brian Byrne.
The response to the project, set up by Noel and Katrina O'Connell in appreciation for the care of their infant son Ollie by the hospital staff, has been tremendous.
Adults, schoolchildren, community groups and organisations all over Kildare and beyond have been touched by Ollie's story.
At the Diary, we have this feeling that only the first few chapters have been written, and this is one that's going to run to an epic size.
Congratulations all, and keep up the good work.
