Outside support for Kilcullen flowers

Financial support for the KCA Summer Flowers project this year has been noticably strong from outside the town, the latest meeting of Kilcullen Community Action heard, writes Brian Byrne.

"We have had many contributions from individuals and businesses who don't directly benefit from the flowers," Noel Clare told the meeting. "These have been from as nearby as Yellow Bog and Calverstown and from as far as London and even Hong Kong."

He said there was still a shortfall in meeting the costs of this year's provision of flowers, and all donations that might still be made would be very welcome.
