Planning appeal lodged
The appeal by Cnoc na Greine residents against the planning permission granted to the owners of Dolly Skip Hire for a cars end-of-life plant has been lodged with An Bord Pleanala, writes Brian Byrne.
But the appeal organisers were fortunate that they timed their lodging of the documents for a day ahead of the deadline, because a vital letter was missing.
When this was discovered, literally in the ABP offices, there were frantic phone calls to find the document, which the Diary understands was a receipt letter from Kildare County Council for one of the original objections.
All was well in the end, and now, as one of the organisers said yesterday, 'we can only wait'.
It is believed the appeal will not be dealt with for at least six months because of a backlog of work at the Bord.
