Kids drama school celebrates 10th

The Talented Kids Performing Arts School operated by Maureen V Ward of Calverstown is celebrating its 10th year with a special celebration show in Dublin's Gaiety Theatre in November.

The show will include current and former students, among them many who have gone on to make full-time careers on the stage, in music and on TV.

Because of the show, the new term is starting early this year, with the Kilcullen element beginning in the Community Centre on Saturday August 25. The Naas Community Centre classes start on Wednesday 29th, and the Clondalkin classes in Scoil Mhuire on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th.

The School operates for children from 3-18 in three grades, and there are also adult classes in Clondalkin.

The School incorporates an agency, and has placed students in TV programmes like Fair City, RTE Jr, TV and radio advertisements, radio drama, films and as voices in cartoon movies. Others have modelled, worked in musicals and in pantomime.
