Permission granted for waste recycling facility

Kildare County Council has granted planning permission for a waste recycling and vehicle dismantling facility at Kilcullen Business Park,  Knockbounce, writes Brian Byrne.

The application by Christopher and Catherine Dolly attracted a high level of objections from residents in the nearby Cnoc na Greine estates and from Kilcullen Community Action.

Permission was applied for in November of last year, and the Council requested extensive further information before completing consideration of the application. The applicants also revised their application to shorten working hours on the site.

At this point, the Diary is not aware of what conditions the Council has applied to the permission.
