Planning granted for autism classroom

The Diary has learned that Cross & Passion College Kilcullen has been granted planning permission for a classroom for students with autism, writes Brian Byrne.

The move in the second-level college has been in train for some time, as there's a need for accommodating pupils from the autism unit in Scoil Bhride primary school.

Funding for the CPC classroom was confirmed earlier this year and it is hoped the new facility will be available from September. It will be situated in a refurbished area of the original Cross & Passion sisters convent.
