Community Group and Club Open Evening

Kilcullen 2017 is running a Community and Sports Club Open Evening on Friday 8 June between 7.30-9.30pm in the Community Centre. The purpose of the event is to showcase the clubs, groups, and other services available to the people of Kilcullen.

As part of the event, there will also be talks on Community Safety and the possibility of developing a Kilcullen Community Alert system which involves texting details of suspicious activities, in cooperation with the Gardaí. This scheme was established to watch out for older residents, particularly in rural areas. This talk will take place at 7.30pm.

If any organisations are not yet signed up to the Open Evening, you can contact PJ Fagan on 086 8719388 or email kilcullen2017@gmail.com. The Open Evening is a great opportunity for clubs and groups in Kilcullen to sign up new members and build stronger bonds in the community.

Kilcullen 2017 is asking all clubs and groups to participate in the event as one of the key recommendations from the recently published Development Plan for Kilcullen included the need for Sports Clubs and Groups to find ways of including more local people in their work.
