Visit by Kosovo group

kosovos

A group from Kosovo visited Kilcullen Heritage Centre this afternoon as part of a 4-day study visit to see how Ireland uses heritage in tourism, writes Brian Byrne.

They include architects and heritage and tourism specialists, and are guests of The Heritage Council in Kilkenny for the duration of their stay. The trip is sponsored by the Council of Europe.

Nessa Dunlea of Kilcullen Heritage Group gave the visitors a tour of the Town Hall facilities and outlined how it had been put together primarily by community effort, with help from The Heritage Council. Their visit concluded with lunch at Il Fico.
