Ticket scammers use youth cafe name

It has been brought to our attention that one or more people have been selling raffle tickets in the town or door to door purporting to represent Solas Youth Cafe, writes Matt Jennings, Chairman of the Solas Youth Cafe.

Anyone doing this at this time is not doing it on behalf of Solas Youth Cafe, but presumably for their own benefit. Anyone approached to buy tickets should look for identification from the seller and be happy that they have authority to do so from the Gardai. If there is a suspicion, the matter should be reported to the Gardai.

While the Youth Cafe has a great need for funding, any fundraising will be done with proper authorisation.
