Teen Theatre out of the frying pan

Evelyn O’Sullivan’s Drama Dynamics Teen Theatre presents 'Out Of The Frying Pan' by Francis Swann in Cross and Passion Secondary School on Tuesday 17, Wednesday 18 and Friday 20 April, writes Rachel O'Sullivan.

‘Out of The Frying Pan’ is a story of a group of six young actors trying to make it into the big wide world of show business. Norman, Dottie, Kate, George, Tony and Marge are living off Dottie Coburn’s father’s money, even though he is unaware of the situation.

They are all sharing an apartment above the famous producer, Arthur Kenny. They seek the attention of Mr Kenny as he is their only hope left.

The group are continuously rehearsing and pestering Mr Kenny into seeing them perform. Eventually an opportunity arises and Mr Kenny agrees to see their play. However it doesn’t go according to plan. From unwanted visitors appearing, nosy landlords and the law getting involved it looks like all hopes are shattered.

Will they succeed in getting their life they all dream for or are they destined to spend all eternity in a dingy flat with two meals a day? You’re going to have come along and see!

This is Evelyn’s Teen Theatre fourth full length play and if the last are to go by, this is sure to be an evening of thorough fun and entertainment for all the family.

These local teens are all committed to acting and to the work hard needed to put on an excellent show. It is a wonderful opportunity for the community of Kilcullen to support them in their efforts. Come along; bring your friends and families, for a great night’s entertainment.
