Local motions for Athy Area meeting

Kilcullen features in a number of motions down for discussion at next Monday's meeting of the Athy Area Committee of Kildare County Council.

Cllr Ivan Keatley wants the Council to improve traffic access at The Hideout Cross for traffic turning into the Church Road from southbound. He suggests it could be done by taking out a portion of the large footpath area outside The Spout pub.

Cllr Martin Miley wants the Minister for Transport to 'investigate the full feasibility' of the motorway service station planned for Baronsland, Kilcullen, in light of the Minister's report in the national media 'in relation to oversized projects developed by the NRA'. He also wants salting of the road from Kilcullen crossroads to Gormanstown Church to be reinstated by KCC.
