Today will become rather windy . Some bright spells this morning, but outbreaks of rain and drizzle will spread from the northwest through the day. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees.

It's estimated that some 15,000 tonnes of space debris enters the Earth's atmosphere every day, as part of around 25 million meteoroids, micrometeoroids, and defunct human-made objects. Up to 95 percent are believed to burn up as meteors before reaching the surface, those which do impact being known as meteorites.
