The passing of Margaret Keogh

The Diary has learned of the death of Mrs Margaret 'Peggy' Keogh of Nicholastown, last Saturday at the age of 98.



Peggy was mother to Sean, Una and Olive, and as one of the founding members of the Gallowglass Ceili Band she laid down a musical track which has spanned three generations of her family in Kilcullen.

To her extended family we offer our heartfelt condolences.

Peggy will be reposing at Anderson and Leahy's Funeral Home, Newbridge, from 3pm Thursday and a Rosary will be said there on Thursday evening at 7.30.

Removal will take place on Friday morning at 10.15, arriving at Kilcullen Parish Church for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in New Abbey Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations may be made to St Vincent's Hospital, Athy.
