Donncha to MC at Youth Theatre matinee

Veteran RTE broadcaster Donncha O'Dulaing heard of the activities of the Kilcullen Drama Group’s Youth Theatre, writes Bernard Berney. He was very impressed by the work Eilis and Siobhan were doing with the young people in our community.

He understood how such theatrical experiences could bolster the self esteem of teenagers, struggling to come to terms with their own special gifts, with their own self-worth.

He knew that, under the tutelage of kind and generous adults, young people will develop a strong self-esteem which will protect them when they are confronted with challenges of a cynical world.

Donncha O'Dulaing comes to Kilcullen as evidence of his support for the work of organisations like the Kilcullen Drama Group’s Youth Theatre.

Donncha offered to act as MC at the Matineee of the group’s production of “Run Like the Dickens”, on Sunday 23rd October 2011 at 3 p.m. You see, Donncha not only ‘talks the talk’ he also ‘walks the walk’.

To book your ticket for this event phone (045) 481497. If you cannot get a seat for that Sunday afternoon performance, the play will be presented on two other nights, Thursday 20th October & Saturday 22nd October, at 8pm each night.

Admission €10. Students and Senior Citizens €5.
