Nolans still on the winning trail

Nolans Butchers of Kilcullen have again stolen the show at the recent Great Taste Awards in the Leinster area, organised by the Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland. The famous meat emporium pulled away eight gold medals.

It's the third year in a row that everything entered by Nolans has won a gold medal.

The credit is due to Andy and James (pictured) Nolan for their winning recipes, but James emphasises the role of Fred Mitchell for the long hours spent in making the sausages and puddings for which the business has become famous.

"It’s an incredible reward for consistency of product," he says.
