Nearly there!

Almost there ... the newly-repaired Valley wall is this afternoon awaiting the cappind to be poured. Great stuff, and all thanks to the visit of HM.

Meanwhile, to stop a rumour that has been going around town, the businesses at the crossroads and on the roads which the Queen will travel are being permitted to open on Thursday.

Eamonn Boyce said a lot of people thought he had been told to close, but there isn't any truth in that. Shelly Barbers will also be open, as will The Spout pub. Ellen's hairdressers is not opening, but that's through her own choice as a number of customers changed their appointments from Thursday because of parking restrictions and diversions. Nichola Kennedy Optometrists will be closed to the public for a Training Day.
