National Tree Week 2011

Cllr Brendan Weld will launch National Tree Week 2011, writes County Heritage Officer Brigid Loughlin. The launch will take place in Donadea Forest park on Sunday 6th March at 2pm at Donadea castle

To celebrate National Tree Week and as part of the International Year of the Forest, guided forest walks will be held at the following locations:

Donadea Forest Park, Donadea, Clane on Sunday 6th March at 2pm sharp. Meet at Donadea Castle in the grounds of the forest.
Moore Abbey Forest, Monasterevin on Saturday 12th March at 2pm sharp. Meet at forest car park.
Killinthomas Wood, Rathangan on Sunday 13th March at 2pm sharp. Meet at main entrance.

The walks are organised by Coillte in conjunction with Kildare County Council.

The talks will be informal and informative. Bring appropriate clothing and if possible, try to car-pool as parking can be limited.
