Latest GFG art exhibition

The latest art exhibition at the Good Food Gallery is 'An Unbroken Sea of Acres', by Grainne Dowling.

Although most of her work to date was based in the coastal-island landscape of Inishboffin in Connemara, the artist has found a similar delight in County Kildare's 'island' landscape of the Curragh plains.

GrĂ¡inne Dowling studied ceramics, sculpture and painting at the Crawford College of Art and Design and also at the Danube Academy in Vienna, graduating with an honours degree in fine art/painting from CCAD Cork.

She has taken part in group shows, joint and solo exhibitions at the Vangard, Lavitt, and Shaw galleries in Cork city. The artist has also shown annually with Cork and Dunlavin arts societies and recently at the Gerard Manley Hopkins festival in Newbridge.

The official opening is tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30pm.
