Kilcullen Diary

WEATHER

Mainly dry for a good part of the day, with some spells of sunshine this morning and early afternoon. However, cloud will increase, with rain and drizzle moving in from the west later in the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with mostly light to moderate southerly winds, starting to freshen in the evening.

New Ice Age fears

A thought for the first day of 2011: in 1974, scientists were seriously worried about global cooling and the prospect of a new Ice Age.
