Bollards to be placed on Chapel Road

Now that the footpath on the Chapel Road has been properly refurbished, Kildare County Council is determined that it won't be damaged again.

Prior to the work, the Council said the previous poor surface had been due to cars parking on the footpath.

But now they intend to put bollards on the path to prevent this.

The work on the footpath will be completed beyond the church to Nolan's yard.

The work, which has been widely welcomed, came following representations by local councillors Martin Miley and Martin Heydon.
