Big 'Yes' to Community Council idea
Our recent online poll about whether Kilcullen should resurrect its Community Council resulted in an overwhelming 'yes' for the idea.
Although only 42 people responded, almost four out of five (78 percent) agreed that it would be a good idea.
Just five respondents (11 percent) said such a Council shouldn't be revived, while four said it wouldn't be any good anyhow as local authorities don't generally take any account of decisions by such community groups.
Kilcullen had a vibrant Community Council in the late 60s and 70s.
