Scouts County Day

A large contingent from all sections of Kilcullen Scouts took part in the South Kildare County Day in Donadea Forest on the 21st of April, which consisted of orienteering for all sections in the morning and a Scouts’ Own ceremony in the afternoon. During the Scouts’ Own ceremony, the Chief Scout was proud to unveil the new South Kildare County flag.

Annette Byrne was welcomed as the new County Commissioner by all Scouts.

Kilcullen Scouts were delighted to be presented with their SQS Quality Standard Award (Silver) at the ceremony, marking the continuing improvement in the quality of Scouting provided by Kilcullen Scouts, and a fitting tribute to the efforts and achievements of the Unit as a whole – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders.
