The chairman of Tallaght Hospital, Alan Gillis, is to be Fine Gael's second candidate in Kildare South for the upcoming General Election.
He represented the former Leinster Euro constituency as a Fine Gael MEP, and is also a former President of the Irish Farmers' Association. He joins Councillor Richard Daly (right) on the ticket; Cllr Daly was selected at convention during the summer.
Speeches of support for the ticket were given by party Vice President and former leader Alan Dukes, as well as local councillors Rainsford Hendy, Billy Hillis, Mary O'Sullivan, Sean Cunnane, Brian Maginn and Mayor Fionnuala Dukes.
