Dominic Kirwan for Riverbank

Dominic Kirwan plays the Riverbank Arts Centre on Friday 6 October.

DominicKirwanDominic's Irish roots and early musical influences can still be seen in his live shows. Musically Dominic followed his dream and fronted a variety of local bands including his own group, The Melody Boys.

The band soon became popular favourites on the live circuit, and after several years of performing and developing his style, Dominic was signed and his debut Ritz album was 'Try a Little Kindness'.

The album 'On The Way To a Dream' gave him his first chart topping success. This held the top spot in the UK Country Chart and was followed with the top selling video 'Dominic Kirwan In Concert' when he joined pop stars U2, Bon Jovi and Queen in the charts.

Teamed with top record producer Ronnie Light and some of Nashville’s best known musicians, albums such as 'Unconditional Love', 'Stone In Love With You', and 'Under Your Spell' gave him chart-topping experience.

In the early part of 2005 Dominic travelled to Australia to perform over 30 dates and in May of that year, during his extensive UK tour, he fulfilled one of his lifetime ambitions by playing the London Palladium with Crystal Gayle.

The event begins at 8pm and admission is €25.
