'Can you tell me the way to ...?'

The removal of the road direction signs at the Hideout crossroads when the area was refurbished last year is causing considerable confusion to motorists who don't know the area.



"There's no indication of the road to Dunlavin, for instance," says Vourneen McGeogh, who works in the XL Filling Station beside the Hideout. "Strangers are all the time pulling in here just to ask directions. It would be really helpful if the signs that used to be there were replaced."

The signs which were removed had only been erected a few years ago, in a general upgrading of road signage across the country.
