Birthday wishes for a Dad

Hi Brian,

I would like to share with all your readers that a very special person whom I love dearly is turning 80 years young this Friday, August 4th.

My Dad, Jim Dempsey of Old Kilcullen will be celebrating his day this Friday. My Dad unfortunately had a bad stroke last September and is unable to talk or walk anymore. It breaks my heart beyond belief as he was such a huge part of Kilcullen.

His brother, Tony Dempsey (deceased) and himself built many many buildings in Kilcullen and the surrounding area. They did many a repair job on the church roof there along with the Convent and numerous other buildings.

My Dad was a regular face at the local pubs, especially McTiernans. And it saddens me that this birthday will be spent without a trip to the pub; however I just wanted everyone who knows him to send him their well wishes.

My Mom and sisters are having a little celebration for him and I will be calling home so they can put the cell phone up to his ear so I can wish him a Happy Birthday. I wish him so many more years and I know that even though he can no longer talk he knows that he is loved beyond this universe.
