Brannockstown X-File

Here's a question, guys and gals of Brannockstown. Or is it Brannoxtown?

I've always known it as the former. Always spelt (or spelled) it so. But I keep coming across the 'X' factor in print recently, including in The Bridge reports from the National School.

The 'X' doesn't fit well, in my view. But it may well be the 'proper' spelling. Although, the official sign behind those great school children who helped in the recent Tidy Towns Competition favours the 'cks'.



The Diary waits to be informed as to how the community there prefers its name to be spelt (or even spelled)?
