Worry about playground talks delay

A concern that discussions with the owners of land which had been identified as suitable for use as the proposed public playground might be 'drawn out' was expressed at the recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action.

Kerstin Bartels-Shortt said a committee had now been formed, and letters were being sent to the three different owners of the piece of land in question.

"The County Council is ready to liaise with us on design and planning once the final site has been identified," she said. "The money, it seems, is in place."

She said that 'everybody is welcome' to get involved in the project, which was initiated by a group of studenst from Cross & Passion College.

Noel Clare said it was good to see that it was 'mainly new people' to the town who had become involved in the committee.
