Playground group moving forward

The ad hoc playground development group is expected to set up a structured committee at its next meeting, to be held in the Community Sports Complex on Tuesday next.

At last Tuesday's meeting in the grounds of the complex, the group discussed some sites with the potential to be used for the construction of a playground, which was the subject of a research project undertaken by Transition Year students in the Cross and Passion College.

That same presentation was used at the recent inaugural public meeting aimed at getting enough local interest to further the project, which can be financed by Kildare County Council.

The presentation was also 'well received' at a national adjudication event in City West last week.
