Big support for Maintain Hope

There was a full house this morning for the now annual Coffee Morning in the Dooley home at Whitehall Cottage, in aid of Maintain Hopewrites Brian Byrne. As always, lots of chat, caffeine, company and cakes.
A special guest was Charity Muthoni, who first came into contact with the organisation founded by Gerry O'Donoghue when she was just nine years old. Today, thanks to support from Maintain Hope, she is studying for a Masters in Social Work at Salford University in the UK, and is both a role model and an advocate for children back home like she once was.
The Diary had a chat with Charity, and we'll be doing a substantial piece based on that in due course. In the meantime, below is a message she has for all those who helped to make her the person she is today.
(Also, apologies to hosts Esther and Joe: we missed taking their photo and didn't realise it until we got home! Clearly they were busy looking after all their guests and didn't stand still long enough to be caught in the viewfinder.)
