Fly-tipping continues to be a problem

Unfortunately, Kilcullen continues to suffer from the blight of black bag dumpers, writes Brian Byrne, especially on the approach roads to the town.

These pictures were taken by Sharon McCabe just past the motorway bridge, where she counted at least ten black bags and other rubbish discarded by fly-tippers.

Kildare County Council has been notified.

There was another bad instance at the top of Kinneagh Hill on Wednesday, but the dumped bags there have since been removed, either by local people or the Council.

Please keep an eye out for this kind of thing, and if you happen to see anyone committing what is a crime against the community, take a reg number and notify the Garda.
