Kevin Montgomery in the BAG

Tonight, Monday, Nashville-born, Kevin Montgomery plays his BAG debut, ably backed, on guitars, by Clive Barnes - who needs little introduction to BAG audiences, writes Roy Thompson of the Ballymore Acoustic Gigs.

Kevin Montgomery comes from serious musical parentage - his father was the late Bob Montgomery, who wrote and performed with Buddy Holly, and penned such classics as 'Heartbeat', and, later, 'Misty Blue', recorded by the great Dorothy Moore. Kevin's Mother sang with Elvis on such hits as 'Suspicious Minds', and 'Kentucky Sunrise'.

The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, and Kevin Montgomery is a fine songwriter in his own right.

Doors open, 8:30pm. Admission is €12

Coming next: Kelley McRae & Matt Castelein - Monday, October 17th.
