Generous support for Daffodil Day

Daffodil Day 2016 was another successful fund raising event, writes Nuala Collins. We had the usual band of wonderful helpers, ladies and five gentlemen this year. Indeed five sisters and one brother from one Kilcullen family turned out to lend a hand.

Some €4,920 was collected in Kilcullen. That’s an increase of 20 percent on last year’s takings. Well done to all you generous subscribers.

We must say a special 'Thank You' to Elmgrove Farm in Co Meath who came to the rescue at the 11th hour and provided daffodils, and to Meade Potatoes whose driver delivered them.

We always need more volunteers. So next year give your name to any of the organisers — Anne Brennan 087 938 1584; Nuala Collins 087 909 4380; or Patricia Dowling 087 799 9011.
