Architectural exhibition at KCC HQ

An international exhibition of the work of Irish architects will open on Friday in Kildare County Council headquarters Naas, writes Brian Byrne.

The exhibition was developed for the Irish Architecture Showcase in Shanghai in 2012, which promoted the cultural identity of Irish architecture.

The version coming to Naas this week is one which was on show in London through 2013.

It displays the work of Irish architects, current and historic, at home and aboard in a wide range of sectors — including housing, commercial projects, healthcare, education, as well as showcasing sustainability and conservation projects.

The exhibition will run from 8 January to 5 February, and is open from 10am-3pm daily. It was developed with the support of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht under the Government Policy on Architecture.
