Great 'Carols by Candlelight'

The parish church was packed on Thursday night for the Carols by Candlelight performance and those in attendance were treated to one of the best evenings of music that Kilcullen has seen for quite some time.

Special guest was Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh (her mother is Elizabeth Redmond and comes originally from Nicholastown in Kilcullen) who sang several solo numbers and also sang with Kilcullen Gospel Choir. Her rendition of O Holy Night with the backing of the Gospel Choir was electrifying and brought a tear to many an eye.

Other performers on the night were the Scoil Bhride choir and the Sixth Year music class from Cross and Passion College.

All in all it was a memorable night and has also raised significant funds for Teach na nDaoine and The St Vincent De Paul Society.
