Sponsorship for CPC Library

A cheque for €6,000 was presented by a group of parents to Cross and Passion College to the Parents Association at their AGM tonight, writes Noel Clare.

The money was raised through a sponsored cycle last May when the group travelled from Kilcullen to Waterford and back over a 3-day period. The group, led by Daragh Fitzgerald, included Derek Phelan, Ronan Murphy, Gordon Glynn, Colm Mullins, Phelim Marron, Brian Marron, Eoin Moran and Eoin Mullins.

The money will go to a proposed new library in the school. The former library was turned into a Chemistry Laboratory as part of the recent extension to the school.
