CCTV examined in CPC break-in

Gardai are examining CCTV footage of a break-in at CPC early last Friday morning, which shows two intruders, writes Brian Byrne.

The College's alarm was set off just before midnight on the very foggy night, and the security company personnel quickly on the scene alerted the Garda and school management.

The burglars broke into the College office and left empty-handed a short time later after apparently searching for money. Nothing was taken, though there was some damage and broken windows.

By coincidence it was the same morning of the theft of two green mowers from the St Bridget's Pitch & Putt Club.

The new offices in the College are part of the recently completed €1m extension and refurbishment programme at the school.
