It's the National Spring Clean time

Easter might have got in the way, but we're now well into the National Spring Clean 2013, which runs through the month of April, writes Brian Byrne.

Groups can register with the campaign here and get a cleanup kit which includes protective tabards for adults and children to keep your clothes clean. There are also colour coded plastic bags for recyclable and non-recyclable waste.

Posters to advertise particular clean up events can be downloaded from the site and printed with the details, and there is also information on how to organise and spread the word about events.

The National Spring Clean is supported by the Department of Environment, Community & Local Government, the Wrigley Company, and An Taisce.
