Camphill Open Day

The Annual Camphill Community Open Day at Dunshane House takes place on Sunday next, from 2-5.30pm.

Dunshane is a training college for adolescents and young people in need of special care. With the active support of the Department of Health, the community has been developed from a former stud farm at Dunshane House, situated at the foot of the Wicklow mountains.

The event is an opportunity for everybody to come and see how the community lives and works, and the attractions will include games, prizes, sales of home-produced food and crafts.

The Camphill community at Dunshane provides an educational curriculum based on the insights of Rudolf Steiner for students aged 15 to 18 years.

Formal class sessions, as well as group work, take place in the morning. Afternoons are devoted to craft and work experience. Outdoor projects for the community are tackled by classes as a team learning experience.

The Open Day is free and all are welcome. Parking is provided.
