Woodbine writing competition winners

The winners of the Woodbine Books schools writing competition are Cillian Keogh, Conor Curry and Aine Browne from Scoil Bhride, writes Seoirse Behan of Woodbine Books.

The entrants were all from 5th and 6th classes in Scoil Bhride, along with two from the Steiner School. The winners are from Scoil Bhride (but Friya and Maeve from the Steiner School both received €10 vouchers for their articles on The 1798 Battle of Kilcullen and Kilcullen's Farm and Nature Walk respectively).

Conor wrote about the Life in the Liffey afternoon with Dr Jan Baars (this year's one is on Saturday afternoon next), Aine discussed the U14 Girls team winning their two matches to qualify for the Feile competition, and finally Cillian's article was about Kilcullen AFC winning the Kildare cup (again).

Grace O'Donnell was the winner of the raffle, and the winners of the 3rd and & 4th classes Art competition are Leah Keogh, Grace Carroll and Aoife Moran.
