Fr Niall improves Columbus Marathon performance

Fr Niall Mackey completed the 2017 Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Half-Marathon in Ohio, USA, on Sunday, writes Brian Byrne

He finished in a time of 3:19:27, averaging 15.14 minutes per mile. That was a better result than his performance last year.

More than 100,000 spectators and 80 entertainers lined the route. There is a limit of 6,000 participants.

The Columbus Marathon and Half-Marathon are the largest in Ohio.
