The Diary got this pic in today from Jim Greenway, formerly of Kilcullen and who has been living in New Zealand for the last 44 years, writes Brian Byrne.

It’s a school photo from Kilcullen Boys School around 1957/58, with a very young Brian Keyes as the Principal. (UPDATE: Liam Walker says it is 1960/61.)

We have added the picture to the Kilcullen Gathering Heritage Collection.

UPDATE: Thanks to Andy Steed in Florida (eighth from the left on the front row), we have the full caption for the photograph. Apparently it was published in a Bridge about 25 years ago, and referred to a class of 25 years previous to that. Andy says that Miss Griffin, the other teacher in the school, refused to allow her two classes to participate, so these represent the three older classes in 'Mr Keyes's Room'. Eamonn Lynch told us the picture was also on the front of the Bridge in March 1999. Thanks also to all those who sent in names through the day.
