Council looking at Kilcullen parking issue

Kildare County Council's Parking Enforcement Officer is examining the parking situation opposite Kilcullen Town Hall, writes Brian Byrne.

This follows a query on the matter by Cllr Sorcha O'Neill at the most recent meeting of the Naas Municipal District.

The issue is about there being one parallel parking space outside the Powder Room premises, and the other spaces nose in.

In reality, cars often park nose in on the (poorly marked) parallel space too, with consequent problems for passing traffic in a very narrow part of town.

Cllr O'Neill informed a member of Kilcullen Community Action that a report will be provided to the MD members on the outcome of the inspection and examination by the Parking Enforcement Officer.
