Christmas tree lifted into place

Thanks to the early morning efforts of a team of Kilcullen Community Action volunteers, with a little lifting help from Kennycourt Development, the town Christmas tree is now safely in place, writes Brian Byrne.

(Missing from the crew picture is Eoin Houlihan, who was there from the early hours but had to leave before the finish.)

The official switch on of the tree lights and the rest of the Christmas lights in town is next Friday, from 5.30pm in the Square.

All welcome, especially the younger folk, as Santa Claus will be doing the honours.
