A right rockin' night for Nigey and Podge

Well, it was one of those celebratory nights tinged with nostalgia, when both Podge Byrne and Nigey Phillips said goodbye in The Spout last evening, writes Brian Byrne.

Podge was bidding farewell to his thirties, and Nigey was singing for the final time as a member of Badge, which he had fronted for 16 years.

A lot of music, a heck of a lot of craic, and a couple of celebratory cakes too, not to mention the odd pint …

Tommy Dignam presented Nigey with a photo montage of himself and Badge, with ‘Thanks for Rocking the Spout’.

All the pictures can be seen here. If you were there, you have the music to remember too. A great night.
