Nolans wins three international medals

Nolans Butchers just keep on winning, writes Brian Byrne.

Pictured above is James Nolan receiving three medals today at the International Quality Competitions of the German Butchers’ Association, in Frankfurt.

Presented by Dr Heinz Werner Suss, President of The German Master Butchers Federation, they included Gold and Bronze for James’s father Andy’s traditional recipes for white and black pudding respectively.

“He would have been so proud,” James said today, while also accepting a silver medal for Cranberry black pudding.

Typically, James was quick to give immense credit to Fred Mitchell for all his hard work on a daily basis to ensure consistently high quality standards at Nolan's of Kilcullen.

The competition was held during the IFFA exhibition at Frankfurt Messe, the leading international trade fair for processing, packaging and sales in the meat industry. It has been the international platform for the meat-processing industry since 1949.

Some 60,000 trade visitors from around 142 countries come to the IFFA to see the range of products and services offered by up to 1,000 exhibitors.
